It installs just fine on my desktop, no problems, so it is not a problem with the DVD. I am away from home a lot, so this is on my laptop.

I have changed up the drive letter on the DVD drive, uninstalled Alcohol 120%, have no antivirus software running, adaware, etc, turned off firewall and various other windows settings. I have rebooted and done this, copied the contents of the DVD to a folder and renamed it to the same name as the disk in the DVD drive, several other folder names I read online when doing a hard drive install, etc, and still no luck. I purchased the premium version of the game, I had no issues with loading Sims 3, 2, or deluxe edition but suddenly my video card doesn't meet the minimum requirements? THEN after that is done right-click again on the sims 4 game in Origin and press "Repair Game". Go to Origin and on the downloaded game right-click on it and press "Check for update". I was just about to ask for a refund and write a complaint when I tried this first - I made sure the game was up to date in patches. I had this problem when I first downloaded the game and after checking to see if I had the right things to run the game it said I did, the very minimum. First run a check to see if your laptop meets the minimum requirments (And I mean minimum).
